Discography
EarthGang formed in Atlanta in 2008, when Olu (also known as Johnny Venus) and WowGr8 (also known as Doctur Dot) were still in their teens. Here is their catalog in order, with our take on each era. Stream everything through the links on the official site.
- 2010–2011
The first tapes
The duo debuted with The Better Party EP in 2010, then self-released two projects in 2011, Mad Men in April and Good News in December. These are rough around the edges, but the playful wordplay and genre-hopping are already there.
- 2013
Shallow Graves for Toys
The record that made critics pay attention. It's dark, funny, and sharply written, and it's still a favorite for longtime fans.
- 2015
Strays with Rabies
Released in November 2015, this one leans further into strange, swampy production that the duo helped create themselves. It set up everything that came next.
- 2017–2018
Rags, Robots, Royalty
After signing with J. Cole's Dreamville Records in 2017, EarthGang released a trilogy of EPs that introduced them to a much bigger audience while they toured nonstop.
- 2019
Mirrorland
Their major-label debut album, a concept record inspired by Atlanta and full of Southern funk and soul. It debuted at number 40 on the Billboard 200 and remains the best starting point for new fans.
- 2020
Spilligion (with Spillage Village)
With their extended crew Spillage Village, which includes JID and others, EarthGang made one of the warmest group albums of the pandemic year.
- 2022
Ghetto Gods
Their second Dreamville album arrived in February 2022. It's tighter and more grounded in real-life Atlanta than Mirrorland. Read our guide.
- 2023–2024
EarthGang vs. the Algorithm
A run of EPs, RIP Human Art and ROBOPHOBIA, plus the SNAKEGANG project with Snakehips, explored how technology and AI are changing art and everyday life.
- 2024
Perfect Fantasy
Released on October 29, 2024, with UnitedMasters, this was their first independent album and the finale of the Algorithm era. It blends Atlanta and Japanese pop culture into a world the duo nicknamed "Tokyolanta," with guests including Pharrell Williams, T-Pain, Snoop Dogg, Damon Albarn, and Little Dragon.
- 2026
